WHAT IS KUDO?

SOGO-KAKUTOGI, is Japanese terminology for 'Mixed-Martial-Arts'.

KUDO is a SOGO-KAKUTOGI ( Mixed-Martial-Arts ) system.

KUDO is a Japanese M.M.A. system that mixes KICKBOXING with JUDO, ( hence the name KUDO ).

Due to the mix of these styles, KUDO is very heavily focused on Standup-Striking.

Then Takedowns, Top-Position-Control ( Pin ) & Ground-Striking ( Ground-&-Pound ).

Submissions are also taught as an additional way to defeat an opponent on the ground.

Many Kickboxing schools have adopted
KUDO for their M.M.A. programs. There are not as many Takedown and Submission techniques in KUDO as there is in Judo, due to Striking, ( especially Ground-&-Pound ).
