WHAT IS KUDO?
SOGO-KAKUTOGI, is Japanese
terminology for 'Mixed-Martial-Arts'.
KUDO is a SOGO-KAKUTOGI
( Mixed-Martial-Arts ) system.
KUDO is a Japanese M.M.A. system that
mixes KICKBOXING
with JUDO, (
hence the name KUDO
).
Due to the mix of these styles, KUDO
is very heavily focused on Standup-Striking.
Then Takedowns, Top-Position-Control ( Pin
) & Ground-Striking ( Ground-&-Pound
).
Submissions are also taught as an additional
way to defeat an opponent on the ground.

|
Many Kickboxing schools have adopted KUDO
for their M.M.A.
programs. There are not as many Takedown and Submission
techniques in KUDO
as there is in Judo, due to Striking, ( especially
Ground-&-Pound ).
