Amateur Junior Kickboxing Event.

On Sunday the
21st October 2007 , Tricia Mc Keary and Pele
Nathan promoted their second A.K.A.
event of the 2007 season, sanctioned through the I.K.F.
This competition
featured two I.K.F. English Championship
contests as the main headline bouts, including for the
very first time a Junior Title defence, and was supported
by schools from across the country.
The matches
were contested under Amateur safety criteria, with all of the players
wearing protective equipment.
Tricia and Pele would like to thank everyone that supported on the day,
as well as those that came forward as sponsors. Amateur Kickboxing currently
receives no government funding, and without the support of sponsors
these events cannot be organised. If you would like to sponsor either
one of the young athletes on the events, or the events themselves either
on a personal level or through your business, please conteact the A.K.A.
at the soonest opportunity.
For the 2008 season the A.K.A. are planning to expand the Junior Amateur
circuit, if you would like to host an event we would like to hear from
you.

Ranking League Criteria
A Title Win = 20 Ranking Points
A Title Challenge/Runner up = 12 Ranking Points
An English Title Win = 10 Ranking Points
An English Title Challenge/Runner up = 6 Ranking Points
A Standard bout - Win = 5 Ranking Points
A Standard bout - Loss = 3 Rankings Points
A Standard bout - Draw / = 1 Ranking Point
Amateur N-Class ( No-Decision ) Contests.
All bouts are predetermained a 'DRAW'.
Note : A single ( 1 ) Ranking point is awarded for all contests that
result in a DRAW.
